Welcome to Our School

Xilin Foundation Lake County is a non-profit educational organization based in Lake County IL, approved in September 2000 by the IRS under 501(c)(3). The foundation operates the Xilin Lake County Chinese School, which has been providing Chinese language and culture education classes to children in the local community since 1995. For the recent years, we have about 100 students and 9 teachers in each semester. All of the teachers have extensive Chinese language teaching experiences holding at least master degree. Currently Chinese classes are taught at 11 different levels, from Chinese K (basic Chinese phonics) mostly for kindergarteners to Chinese 11 for high school sophomore students. The curriculum for each level has been developed by our teachers with reference to the standard recommended by the Institute of Chinese Literature, Ji-Nan University, Guangzhou, China.

Organization

The school administrative committee and board members consist of parent volunteers, who have been working diligently to focus on the benefits of students and families and maintain a low operating cost. For the new semester, the school invites more parents to serve on the school board or the school committee.
